Dominican Republic As a Caribbean Beach Vacation

Of course everybody dreams of that amazing beach vacation on a beautiful Caribbean island. You could just picture yourself drinking margaritas all day from sunrise to sunset while laying out on the pearly white sands and overlooking some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Unfortunately for most working class people, many Caribbean islands are particularly expensive for the average person to spend on a vacation. Islands such as Anguilla and St. Martin are notorious for how pricey their vacation rentals, hotels, car rentals, and restaurants are.
What a lot of people do is spend their vacation on Caribbean cruises. The cruises take them to many of the popular islands in the Caribbean. People get off on the ports and usually spend about 8 hours on the respective island. Its fun, but it really doesn't give you enough time to truly appreciate the culture and flavor of the country. Plus you don't get a chance to lay out and the beach and just relax.
There is one particular destination in the Caribbean that offers very affordable vacation rates. The Dominican Republic has more coastline with more beautiful beaches than Anguilla, St. Barts, St. Johns, St. Matin combined. It is truly the most underrated Caribbean destination. Whether you go North, East, or South you will run into hundreds of pristine coastline. The coast is covered with both small town and big city beach towns, which are perfect for all different kinds of travelers.
The beaches of the Dominican Republic are absolutely flawless. It may not get the same recognition as the beaches in Aruba or Barbados, but I can guarantee that you'll have hard time telling the difference. The clear aqua color of the water is like something out of a postcard.
The real perk to spending a vacation at the Dominican Republic is how incredibly affordable it is. You get the luxurious Caribbean beaches without the high priced costs. Everything all around is cheaper than other islands. You can find many beach front rentals for under $50 a day. Try finding that in Aruba. Food is ridiculously cheap. You can choose from classy restaurants or grab some food from the local vendors out on the street. You'll love the time to spend there so much, that you might think about buying your own vacation rentals as they are dirt cheap. You can find beachfront apartments for under $50,000. As a matter of fact, many ex-pats have permanently moved to the Dominican Republic for the slower lifestyle.
